About VacuumAZ

VacuumAZ is a plain record of vacuum cleaners on sale at the store: upright, canister, stick and cordless, robot vacuums with and without a mop, handheld and car vacuums, and wet and dry shop vacuums. Each page notes what the listing says about a vacuum and what it cost on the day we looked.

Taken from the title, nothing added

The type, whether it is cordless or corded, bagless or bagged, and whether a listing mentions pet hair or a mop come straight from the product title, in the seller's own words. If a title never states a suction rating or a run time, that field stays empty. Nothing is read off a photograph, and no figure is converted so that two vacuums line up.

Nobody here has run one

No one on this site has vacuumed a floor, emptied a bin or timed a battery with these machines. The pictures are the sellers', there are no star scores, and we give no verdict on how well a vacuum picks up, how loud it is or how long a filter lasts, because we would be inventing it. A suction figure such as 20,000 Pa is the seller's number, measured in a way the listing does not describe, so two of them are not always comparable.

A price and the day it was read

Every price here is a figure the store gave us, shown beside the date and hour we read it. When a price grows too old to trust, the page drops it instead of leaving it up, and the store's own page is the place to check what a vacuum costs today.

How the site pays its way

When a purchase follows one of our links, Amazon pays VacuumAZ a small commission, at no extra cost to you. A vacuum's place in a list comes from its price and the filters you pick, never from what a seller might pay.

Our guides rank vacuums by stated specs and price alone. The Learn pages explain suction, filters, battery claims and the differences between types, citing makers and standards bodies, and the front page gives the number of vacuums covered.
